At Mohagen Hansen, we understand the importance of creating environments that are as welcoming and engaging as they are functional, especially when designing for families and children. Our work on the South Lake Pediatrics clinic—a 7,681-square-foot interior clinic build-out—allowed us to bring this philosophy to life. From the outset, we envisioned a space that would not only support efficient care delivery but also inspire a sense of comfort, joy, and trust among young patients and their families.
To achieve this, we infused the interior design with playful colors and imaginative details, ensuring the clinic radiates a youthful energy while maintaining a professional tone. Cheerful hues and engaging patterns create a welcoming atmosphere in the reception and waiting areas, while subtle thematic accents throughout the space delight and distract young minds. Every design choice was intentional, from the vibrant wall treatments and furnishings to the seamless flow between functional zones, all aimed at reducing stress and fostering a sense of calm.
Beyond aesthetics, the design emphasizes practicality and adaptability. Exam rooms are thoughtfully arranged to facilitate care, while the inclusion of family-friendly spaces ensures that parents feel supported and included. The result is a clinic that feels as much like a vibrant community space as it does a hub for top-tier pediatric care—one where families can feel confident and children can feel at ease. By blending innovative design with a deep understanding of user needs, we’re proud to have created a space that embodies the essence of healing, growth, and play.
