Mohagen Hansen Architecture | Interiors provided planning, architecture and interior design services for a new Anchor Bank location in Wayzata, Minnesota. Located just north of its former location, the project involved the development of a new, smaller bank that incorporates leading edge technologies, as well as a new Walgreens adjacent to the site. The bank was designed to appeal to a young, growing demographic that is seeking quicker transactions, yet wants the ability to have one-on-one time with their commercial or personal banker as well.
The Universal Banker concept was implemented, where employees are cross-trained to work multiple functions such as teller and customer service representative, thus requiring fewer full-time employees. Sight lines were a big consideration when laying out the space so that this specific worker would be able to see all applicable areas of the bank, to ensure customers are receiving the assistance they require. The interior design concept offers a welcoming, hospitality feel which has become part of Anchor Bank’s brand. This space provides an innovative, trustworthy and professional impression.
