Hawkins has been operating a family owned, organization out of temporary buildings, and found that their current situation was keeping them from being efficient. However they feared a move posed a risk to their established corporate culture.
We completed an extensive programming phase that defined how the staff currently functions verses how they would like to function, and the best ways for people to communicate. The project included an evaluation of workstation size and layout, technology, and the incorporation of health and wellness into the workplace. This resulted in the integration of efficient workstations with sit-to-stand work surfaces, and collaboration areas to allow for increased teaming and small meetings. The color red is a large part of their brand, so it can be found throughout the space along with a design solution that communicates their rich history through the use of graphics and photos that communicate company milestones and share the Hawkins story.
The team at Mohagen Hansen, led by Lyn Berglund, was instrumental in the success of our project. We relied on their expertise and involvement throughout the process – from initially helping us size our space needs at the start of our real estate search to a successful move into our new, beautiful space on time and on budget. We are very proud of our new headquarters space and always receive glowing comments from visitors. I recommend Mohagen Hansen any chance I get without reservation.
